FYI, this story is more than a year old

WatchGuard Technologies has refreshed its ANZ channel program with a range of new training for qualified partners and resellers.

The firm will now provide a range of free training and certification training courses to its Australian and New Zealand partners.

WatchGuard says the new courses will help partners to install, configure and manage WatchGuard products.

"We know that resellers already invest considerable man hours to attend certified training so the idea of also getting hit with additional costs can be prohibitive. We’ve listened to this feedback and will be offering courses at no cost to qualified resellers,” said Scott Robertson, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Channels and Alliances, WatchGuard Technologies.

WatchGuard also plans to host a webinar series in late May to help resellers in understand how to sell its latest product and feature enhancements.

The company has also given details of Elite 2011, its sales incentive competition that includes a mystery destination as a prize for the winner.

"We had such great feedback from last year’s winners that we hope to exceed everyone’s expectations and create another spectacular event for 2011. All up, our aim is to work with our partners so that they can be even more successful in the year ahead. After all, their success is our success,” added Robertson.

The company has just announced that its New Zealand revenue grew 45% in Q1 2011 and puts this down to growth in its secure email, content and data leakage prevention solutions.
