Westcon enhances NZ security portfolio through sole RSA distribution

Westcon Group NZ announced today that they have been engaged as the sole distributor for RSA in New Zealand, a premier provider of security, risk, and compliance solutions and the Security Division of EMC.

Following a highly competitive review process, RSA ultimately selected Westcon Group as their sole distributor based on the ability to leverage Westcon Group’s prior experience working with RSA’s parent company EMC, while still maintaining a focus on security.

According to Shaun McLagan, RSA General Manager, Australia and New Zealand, this will assist in positioning RSA as a leader in the information security industry, allowing them to greater utilise their existing strengths and realise new opportunities.

Such opportunities include optimising their New Zealand business as they tie into the EMC Federation vision – an alliance including VMWare, Pivotal and RSA.

Westcon Group will further strengthen the new opportunities made available via this alliance to RSA and its channel partners through its existing experience and expertise with EMC.

“Westcon Group NZ is very pleased to take on the sole distribution for RSA in the New Zealand market,” says Mark Baker, Westcon Group’s General Manager Vendor Business.

“With security being in the top 10 priorities for CIOs today, we have already seen a real interest from our partners and their customers across RSA’s solutions.

“Westcon Group offers a comprehensive range of security solutions with RSA adding further depth and capability to our security vendor portfolio.”

Sole distribution commenced 1 April 2014. For more information please contact Westcon Group NZ on 09 415 6220, email sales@westcongroup.co.nz or online at westcongroup.co.nz.
