Westcon NZ expands Veeam offering with cloud deal

Westcon Group has joined the Veeam Cloud Provider program in New Zealand, offering Veeam’s software to service providers on a monthly rental basis.

As a provider of solutions that deliver Availability for the Modern Data Center, Veeam is used by more than 111,500 organisations and 5,000 service providers around the world to protect more than 6.5 million virtual machines (VMs).

The Veeam Cloud Provider (VCP) program offers licensing to meet the needs of hosting, managed service and cloud service providers.

“With today’s announcement, we can now extend to NZ service providers a flexible ‘pay-as-they-consume’ option of Veeam products for hosted environments as part of Westcon Cloud Solutions," says Mark Baker, Sales and Marketing Director, Westcon Group NZ.

"This expands our Veeam offering of traditional ‘on premise’ licensing, and complements other existing service provider models we have.”

The VCP program enables service providers to deliver offsite backups, standby replica VMs, and warm DR (disaster recovery) sites, as well as powering a full range of service offerings, including Backup-as-a-Service and Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service.

Veeam service provider partners also have the ability to drive both top-line and bottom-line revenue growth through increased client retention with the peace of mind that comes from Veeam-powered availability solutions.
