FYI, this story is more than a year old

Microsoft New Zealand is hosting a free partner gathering in Auckland’s SKYCITY theatre on Tuesday September 9, designed to strengthen partner relationships across the country.

Beginning at 10am and finishing at 3pm, the Partner Connect event includes a networking lunch involving several hundred Microsoft partners.

Kickstarting the annual event will be Country Manager Paul Mucklestron, who will speak at length about Microsoft’s strategic direction, recapping some of the key takeaways from the company’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington D.C. in July.

Microsoft New Zealand Partner Business and Development manager Jared Pedersen will also discuss key changes associated with the company’s revamped partner programme and competency structure, as well as investments the business is making in its partner ecosystem.

Following lunch the afternoon session will include four half-hour sessions on the industry’s key mega trends, including Cloud, Big Data, Mobility & Devices and Enterprise Social.

Upon completion of Partner Connect, TechEd New Zealand, widely regarded as the country’s premier technology event, kicks off at 4pm with the Keynote and TechLive at Vector Arena.

Tickets are still available for purchase with Keynote international speakers including James Whittaker and Steven Martin, followed by TechLive, a launch event with drinks, food, a live band and entertainment.

Offering a direct shuttle from SKYCITY to the Vector Arena, Partner Connect provides a great opportunity for Microsoft Partners across New Zealand to come together along with Microsoft staff to build and strengthen relationships.
